Oats cookies
Ingredients
- oats 2 cups
- flour 1 cup
- shredded coconut 1 cup
- sugar 1 cup
- syrup 1 tablespoon
- butter 6 ounces
- bicarbonate of soda 1 teaspoon
- Melt together the sugar, syrup and butter.
- Mix in the bicarbonate of soda.
- Mix together the dry ingredients.
- Mix the wet and dry together.
- Pack firmly into a flat cookie tray or pan.
- Bake in a slow oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool for a few minutes
- Cut into bars
- Leave to cool completely before removing from the pan and store in a cool, dry place.
