My car might be old and beat-up, I have a hand-me-down cellphone, but at least I don’t own money on any of these. But I am still amazed at the fact that people do not seem to stop spending. So we are looking for more ways to save money.
About two months ago we installed a solar heater. At the moment we are looking into getting a 5000 liter JoJo water tank to keep some of the rain for those waterwasting moments. This has little to do with Eskom and their ilk. I am out to keep cash in my own pocket. If, at the same time, it does the environment good, all the better. But believe me, the fat cats will find an excuse to line their pockets.
And have you ever considered: Eskom does not have any electricity to sell. In fact, they are selling less than they used to. So they have to up the price of electricity in order to keep their income stable. If they don’t, where will they find the money to pay those performance bonuses from?
Sorry, just a big rant, maybe because the b*&##$ with the big truck blew his horn at me when I did not turn fast enough into the incoming traffic.
