2008 was The Year of the Frog
No, I did not know that either. Only found out when I tried to find out what to do about the frogs in the pool. And despite the fact that there are a lot of info out there making people aware that was the year of the frog, real usefull and practical advise seems thin on the ground. Or well hidden – so much so that it might not even exist at all. To a certain degree the I got the impression that the whole campaign was more about corporate sponsorship and raising money than informing ordinary people.
I still don’t know what to do about the frogs in the pool. They laid some eggs this morning which we rescued. We have a plank on one side so they can get out. The floater of the poolnet assist in this regard. And in the mornings we rescue the odd lost amphibian.
We will be keeping a close eye on the eggs. We love our frogs and so far they love our garden.
